While I was gathering information today regarding Stainless Steel rigging hardware I found an interesting alternative to the standard block and fall. It's called a fiddle block, and it is often used for sailing. The way that it is rigged makes it slimmer in use, but also less prone to twisting. It also has a cleat installed that makes the move more
controllable.
